Europa Cup 2018 – groups and dates

In order to fill the vacancy occurred in the group B of the Men and Women tournament, the request of the Federation of Malta and Israel to be included respectively into the men’s and women’s competition has been accepted.

Therefore the group stage of the Men and Women competition will be as follows:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ORGANIZER OF A TOURNAMENT

The organizer of a Group shall provide:

  • Accommodation in F/B and per-diem for the appointed LEN delegate/s.
  • Accommodation for the participating teams in hotels of a category adequate to the standard of the event and with room rates not exceeding 100 Euro/person/night in F/B (double rooms for the players).
  • Transportation according to the LEN Regulations from the nearest airport to the official hotels and back, and from the official hotels to the competition & training venues and back, for the participating Teams, the LEN Delegate/s and the nominated Referees.
  • Facilities and equipment according to the LEN regulations.
  • All decoration items and marketing support according to the relevant LEN guidelines.
  • Sufficient cabled internet connection.
  • TV Host broadcasting service and LIVE streaming.
  • Costs related to the doping control tests

 

Please also take note of the following conditions:

  • Each participating Federation will be financially responsible for the accommodation and travel of its National Team.
  • Each participating Federation will be financially responsible for the accommodation and travel of its nominated referee and for his/her per diem according to the LEN regulations.
  • LEN is financially responsible for the travel of the LEN Delegate/s.

 

OWNERSHIP OF THE EUROPA CUP

  • The Europa Cup is owned and controlled by LEN.
  • LEN, as owner of all of the Broadcasting Rights, grants the organizer of a tournament the TV broadcasting rights for the domestic territor In return, for the matches requested by LEN, the organizer of a tournament is required to guarantee an international live TV signal provided by a TV host broadcaster.
  • A revenue sharing system will be implemented on the following basis: 80 % of the revenues generated by the International TV rights will go to the organizing Federation and 20% of the revenues generated by the International TV rights will go to LEN.
  • LEN will closely work and exchange in good faith with Federations that already have privileged relations with local and national TVs.
  • All commercial and marketing rights are exclusively owned by LEN.
  • LEN grants the organizing Federations for their own profit the 50% of the marketing rights, the ticket sales, and the Value-in-kind deals related to cost items as agreed with LEN.
